Do you expect any better behaviour, intelligence or good sense from a bunch of creatures that used to herd camels for a living until a couple of generations ago?
I would consider these chappies to be similar to the typical nouveau riche chap in India who has has sold his tracts of land in Gurgaon or Bangalore outskirts or wherever for a large sum of cash and who barges into the Audi or Beemer store, flings a bagful of the readies at the poor bemused salesperson and demands the latest car to drive away in. More money than sense and certainly not capable of either decent or sensible behaviour by any stretch! Call me biased and maybe even intolerant, but these are the exact facts as they exist in the current scheme of things!

Re: Drifting in Saudi Arabia

Saudi's drift/car stunt culture is the theme in M.I.A’s new music video, Bad Girls.

Re: Drifting in Saudi Arabia

Am surprised no one here is much aware of tafheet or Riyadh drift, think there is a separate thread on this earlier.
Now strict crackdown is going on and it has lessened much, now most of the desolated highway stretches used for this have mountain speed humps put up at regular intervals and those who cause death by doing this well...typical Saudi style- Beheaded.
Yeah, it's just boredom and plenty of cheap rental cars at disposal that's resulting in this, but you can't doubt their daredevilry.
Cars and smoking is pretty much what the unemployed Saudi have ,after they have graduated from football and bicycle stunting.
And btw. thanks @Scorcher for uploading M.I.A's video, i tried to do it a week ago ,but Google Chrome crashed,Heee...

I guess this is what happens when you ban alcohol . Not much else in the form of recreation . I just hope they don't hurt somebody else .

Re: Drifting in Saudi Arabia

Haha. I stumbled upon these videos in Youtube a few days back. I fell off the chair laughing. What idiots!! THe funny thing is even after a serious crash their foot is still on the accelerator and the car is still moving.

Sameer Sameer Sameer. This is indeed the funniest video I have seen. Its like:
"Hey what speed are we doing?"
"180 KMPH"
"OK. not a problem let me get down a grab a coco form the streets."
"How about the newspaper? "
"Yeah I will get that too. Anything else you guys want in the back seat?"

This can also work in Formula 1. Imagine every racer has one of these people attached to their car. Yes seriously imagine. And then there is Alonso who says: "Hey man can you slap Vettel for me. I am just doing 200."
"Yeah sure. Why not"
