Ferrari Onslaught - Bologna Italy

It was the last day of our vacation in Italy. The date: 29-June-2012 (ofcourse I didn't know that it was the day of Ferrari Cavalcade or else I would have taken the tripod along). Everything was peaceful. Bologna is far far away from the tourist onslaughts that Rome, Venice, Florence and Pisa suffer from.

Wifey wanted to do some shopping and I being I hated stepping inside a store. So, we did what was the best thing to do then - Wifey would go and burn holes in the pocket, while I would get a Coke and just gaze outside at the beautiful beautiful lanes of Bologna.

Everything was peaceful. Everything.

And then everything changed. All hell broke loose. And no I wasn't looking through the empty bottle in hand.

@Animesh,

My jaw felt sore after looking at the pictures coz they fell down. Absolutely drooliscious. What was the occassion for so many beauties on the road, was it some parade or something. Or Ferrari does this occassionaly to stun people.

The alloys on a couple of prancing horses was simply eye catching.

Guys I just edited the post with the fact that it was a Ferrari Cavalcade and I was so pleasantly shocked by all noise that I was surrounded with.

And was stunned by the beautiful eyes. We were looking straight at each other.

That 430 spider with the enzo ferrari wheels is amazing. I confused it for a "blue" colour Enzo !

Re: Ferrari Onslaught - Bologna Italy

Awesome man!! Lucky you!

But the Ferrari's look rally bad with the stickers! And the FF with the white stripe just looks wrong. May be its my personal taste, but I just feel scarring the exterior of such a beautiful species of cars is a crime! The stickers are for the Cavalcade of course, but the stripes look bad. :( The only stripes I ever liked were on the F430 Scuderia. That looked wicked!

Thanks for sharing the pics!! Cheers!

Who would believe that I saw all these and more in 3 min or less. I didn't know whether to soak in the moment or click these pictures. Tough tradeoff.

You're a very lucky man, Animesh! That is some seriously drool-worthy machinery. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Those are the standard alloys for the F430. Here's a picture.

Re: Ferrari Onslaught - Bologna Italy

Now those are some amazing photos you have there. That's great! And I know the feeling buddy, I had the same experience when I was in US and there was this Ferrari road show (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/intern...a-chicago.html).
But I wasn't too lucky to hear all of them revving their engines together which you did and I am sure no words can express how amazing that would have felt like!

Animesh, need some help. I will be travelling to Italy sometime in July and have been told getting Schengen Visa for Italy is quiet tough these days. Hence the guy asked me to apply for Belgium Visa and then get into Italy. What would you recommend?

Hi Mayank. Have you booked your air tickets and planned your itinerary (in terms of number of days in each country that you are visiting)? What's your port of entry? Let me know these details and I can suggest you what the rule says about visa application.

If your application fits the criteria, then I don't think getting visa from one place instead of the other can be more easy or tough.

Thank you Taronish for your appreciation. I was gawking at those cars so much so, that I totally forgot about taking a video. The sounds were awesome.
