The 2013 Jaguar XFR-S has been spied near the Nürburgring.

Snapped wearing minimal camouflage, the model features an aggressive front bumper, a ventilated hood and LED-infused headlights. There's also aerodynamic side skirts and front fender vents. Lastly, the rear has a trunk-mounted spoiler and a bumper with an integrated diffuser.

Power will likely be provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. It could enable the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 290 km/h (180 mph).

Man! Looks good. But will it be usable as a daily commuter? As James may says, The "Ring" may improve the performance on the track, but on the normal roads?

Jaguar usually manages to find the balance between handling and ride quality, so I wouldn't worry too much about how it rides on the roads.

Well, this is what Jaguars are known for, luxury with performance. So I am hoping they dont stray from their famed trait. In fact, I dont think they will ever do that.
On a side note, I think Jaguars are not well marketed in India by TATA. It has so much potential as an alternative to the perennial German players in the segment (so much is their domination that Audis seem boring to me now!). Jaguar feels like a breath of fresh air, and I would like them to do well in India. Alas, they are owned by Tata!

Okay! 3-2-1! Hold your breaths for the fastest saloon Jaguar has ever produced! Yup, You guessed it right! It's the Jaguar XFR-S. No performance data has been given but it has been speculated that XFR's supercharged 5.0L V8 would be taken and would be tuned to around 542 BHP. Sounds awesome!

Jaguar XFR-S - Officially Revealed!

Painted in a blue color trim, similar to the XKR-S and called French Racing Blue, the XFR-S deliveres 550hp and 680Nm from its 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine. This is 40hp and 55Nm higher than the XFR. The engine output is similar to the specs of the XKR-S. A sprint from naught to 100km/h is done in 4.4 seconds and the top speed is 300km/h takes.

My two cents

The spoiler and the diffuser at the back are carbon fibre The sides (or the supports for the spoiler) are body coloured, the top flank is black and adds a nice touch in contrast to the French Racing Blue colour of the car.

This edition seems more like the way Merc do AMG > AMG Black edition

PS - IMO the rims could have been better if Jag would have played more with the gloss black/carbon fibre (something like the Aventador rims finish) look & splashed on the rims as well, these look very Aftermarket'ish

Exactly what i had in my mind after catching a glimpse of the stationary car shots. These rims don't do as much justice as probably black ones would have considering, the extensive usage of black throughout
