The next generation Mercedes Benz C-Class has been spotted testing in parts of Europe and the Middle East. Looking at the disguised pics, it is clear that Mercedes have kept the overall proportions similar to the previous gen model and has focussed on refining things a little. The shape of the headlights appear more streamlined than those of the current car, while the body keeps the classic wedge shape, though it appears stretched out a little.

An eight-speed or even a nine-speed automatic transmission can accompany the 2015 version while a 1.8L turbocharged engine can make its way into the base trim.

How many more gears are we going to see? Are they going to put a gear each for every 10 kmph speed up? Soon cars might break the truck category!:D
Hope they dont make a manual shift with 10 gears and splitters!

So finally Mercedes is changing their headlights. The 1.8 L is it not the Renault engine? If I can remember correctly there was a engine sharing done in the A class for the small(est) engine. Can some enlighten me on that?

You can see the three pointed star in the center of the steering wheel, in the last picture. It is covered up, but it is still visible if you look carefully.

The best thing about this is that, the thick c-pillar seems to have returned. This definitely brings back the Merc identity.

The interior console is now a little bit more revealed in this latest spy shot from worldcarfans.
