Re: New Ford Fiesta – Budget Ford with Aston looks!

The Car looks classy except the over-sized grill. Hope that the Ford design team does something about it. If they remodel it a bit it would be a winner in the styling dept.

And as always Ford's DNA has been making driver's Cars and I hope that tradition would continue with the new Fiesta.

Absolutely, The front of the old one looked more in harmony with the rest of the car. This one looks as if it is gaping at other cars.

Ford begins production of the 2013 Fiesta

Ford recently presented the facelifted Fiesta at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Now, news comes in from Germany that Ford has begun series production
of the restyled Fiesta at its factory in Cologne.

The Fiesta is one of the best selling premium hatchbacks in the world. The
new one gets a much bigger upper grille, copying the look of the Fiesta ST
hot hatch.

The new Fiesta will be powered by a 1-liter EcoBoost engine and is packed
with technology such as Ford SYNC system, Bluetooth and USB
connectivity, Emergency Assistance and Active City Stop system. Ford has
revised the steering settings, redesigned suspension components besides
restyling the front and rear fascias. The driver ergonomics have also been
improved.

Ford India’s outgoing president Mike Boneham informed Indian Autos Blog
that the automaker is not looking to get the facelifted version down to India
as a knee jerk reaction. He insisted on following their own product
lifecycles.

We’ll just have to wait for a bit more before the Chennai plant starts
humming with the production of the Fiesta facelift, which according to our
reader feedback , will revive the Fiesta nameplate in India.

IMO, this car looks much better than the current one. I hope Ford brings this to Indian shores very quickly.

Re: New Ford Fiesta – Budget Ford with Aston looks!

Carbuyer UK’s review of the new 2013 Ford Fiesta hatchback.

Key points of interest (which hopefully may get into the Indian Fiesta sedan in future):
1) Some good feedback on the 1.0 Ecoboost
2) The mobile key pad inspiration is gone and now sports a better looking console.

One of my favorite cars with favorite reviewer! Chris Harris testing the new Ford Fiesta ST armed with the 1.6 EcoBoost.

I love it when these guys test everyday cars! Look at the car kicking up the rear wheel ever so slightly on the track! Lovely!

Now Ford India, will you please, please, please get us the hatch here.

Seems like the new fish-mouth isn't going down too well with many. But I like the fact how manufacturers don't stop from taking a little styling risks here and there even on their mainstream, money-spinning models just to stand out from the rest.

The Boss with a smirk:

"Let's slap an Aston Martin grille on our new Fiesta face-lift. No, I'm not kidding."

And then the design boys sat open-mouthed in disbelief.

Nope, it's a carry-over from the previous model. This is merely a mid-life refresh.
