Yeah that's right if the reports from Auto Express.co.uk are to be believed they are going to come out with a hold it!, 1600 BHP powered Veyron running on a 9.6 liter engine, doing 0-100 in a mind numbing 1.8 seconds.

How do you control such a car and that too with wheels of carbon fiber. And the madness doesn't end here they plan to release a 2000 HP version by 2015. So you start the car and lo before you know it you are at a 100kmph and counting.

Well practically this is worrying but the auto nut in me says keep going Bugatti lets see you reach 3000HP.

Bugatti has confirmed that the Veyron Super Sport successor will be launched next September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In an interview given by chief vehicle engineer Jens Schulenburg to Auto Express it was mentioned that Bugatti will focus on lowering the vehicle's curb weight by 250 kg (551 lbs) and for this they might consider carbon fiber wheels. What's even more interesting is that Schulenburg said that hybrid tech is being analyzed.

The new Veyron will retain the impressive W16 quad-turbo engine but its capacity could grow from 8.0-liters to 9.6-liters. With the help of an electric motor, the hypercar could develop 1,600 HP (1,177 kW) that would allow it to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in a shocking 1.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of almost 290 mph (446.7 km/h).

Bugatti might actually beat Porsche in number of Special editions. How many do they expect to sell? I guess they have less than 200 cars to be sold until they close the brand.

Whoa, close the brand? Where did that come from? They make this Veyron or not, they’re going nowhere. VW has already waved green flag to put the Galibier concept into production. So they will be around for a while.

I meant the Veyron, as a brand. Not Bugatti. We all know VW would not shut Bugatti.
