I happen to see the new Nissan pathfinder in flesh this morning. It looked amazing and the interior is just awesome.

Just saw official announcement. Toyota dropped V6 and new RAV-4 will be available with only one engine: 2.5L in-line 4 and 6 Speed AT.

I was over at RAV4World and nearly everyone there is cribbing about the dropping of the V6 and threatening to defect. It seems Toyota wants to reserve that for the highlander.

I liked the older RAV, it was spacious and looked a bit unique. I have rented one many times. Its spacious and easy to drive. The new one is a bit generic, its seems to lose the RAV4 look.

But, to my knowledge, most of the sales of current RAV-4 comes from inline-4 and not V6. IMO, having only inline-4 will not hurt Toyota too much.

Great stuff. A competitor to BMW X1 and Captivia CRV, but it is more of a Crossover vehicle now, much like a Nissan Murano.

Potential to be a Lexus as well in some markets.

But this is far fetched from the original RAV 4 days, i remember the SWB 2 Door 2000 cc RAV 4 it had plenty of rattling plastic inside but used to run through the desert on the highest dunes like a rabbit !

2013 Rav4 earns 'poor' rating in small overlap crash test!

The new crossover might be better than it was before, but it could still only manage a rating of "Poor" in the test that has been a bugbear for a number of manufacturers.

However, if you go through the entire report, it earned top Safety ratings for four other tests that IIHS performed.

That is a very boring looking Toyota in a boring looking color. With a name that it doesn't do justice to. The interiors seem like a tribute to big,old houses and it looks like a mutated Corolla on the outside. This is what we are missing, guys:-
