BMW 5 Series LWB Spy Photo - will it make it India? Doubt it..

Today an article is run in worldcarfans which shows a spy shot of the 5 series, we in india dont get the LWB of the A6 like they do in china(primarily made for this market)...so now BMW is going after the same segment and increasing their size, it was high time, i think MB needs to join the same make a LWB E and make it std E, its pathetic you pay soo much and still get the size of a sonata or smaller..

anyhow here is the shot...

and the link

it looks awesome...i am sure it would be a good sell if the price diff in india would only be few lakhs..

I personally like the short one more....I dont know what it is..but anything less than a S-class, when used for stretching, becomes just that, a stretch.

But I do agree, this car will very much suit the businessmen of India for some luxurious leg-stretching in the back seat, with a V8 engine guzzling petrol up front....it should be a pretty tasty recipe!!!

I second islero.

Beemers in India are symbols of success and luxury. So, the bigger the better and increased snob value too.

Well, in Asia these luxury cars are mostly chauffer driven, whereas in the west they are mostly owner driven.

BMW used to make a L7 specially for Asia. Not anymore. There is also a stretch Passat that is China exclusive.
