Ferrari F150 private preview at Maranello

Ferrari owners RSM from Bangalore and CT from Goa were among the only 2 owners from India invited for the F150 Private Preview in Maranello.
This is what RSM had to say about the F150 :

"The ultimate Ferrari that makes all other Ferraris look like ordinary cars !! Nothing like it exists to compare with... design, beauty, aggression and purpose"

RSM was obvious and the other guy is getting an F12, but I'm surprised Gautam wasn't invited.

Inviting them to the preview, does that mean India could have one? Maybe a relaxation in the LHD rule like the Veyron? Please?

Just wanted to know is there any criteria for owning 158? If yes, what is it?

I remember reading somewhere that the basic requirement for owning an Enzo was to have three Ferraris (bought new, not traded)in excellent nick in your garage. Don’t know if the same applies for the F150 too. Additionally, really really deep pockets, this car is reportedly four times the cost of an Enzo.

Even if they go by numbers, I still think GS out qualifies anyone is the above said list, that is, unless the invite was issued via the dealer and as AP and the Goa guy has got two Fezzas from PM they had the upper hand.

I heard the criteria for the F150 is that one must own at least 5 new cars in present moment and also better if any of the super series owned like F40,F50,Enzo,FXX and 599 FX.

As for the invites for a private preview of the F150 , RSM/CT/AP I guess all have bought 2/3 new cars from the Indian importer in the last year or so and hence were chosen for the same . AP however couldn't make it.

The facts may/may not vary. Replying only from what I have heard.

Cheers.

Re: Ferrari F150 private preview at Maranello

I thought AP's cars were bought on the grey market. The 430 came via Fireblade85's enterprise and the 458 was secondhand from Mumbai

There might be other Indian's invited but they might have come in other batches or the invitation went to their overseas residences.

Re: Ferrari F150 private preview at Maranello

RSM loved the F12 enough to buy it looks like. Atleast his post on an internet forum says so:

Quote:
I drove the F12 in Milan recently and let me tell you its awesome!!! I was blown away with the torque delivery and the performance. The car just flies ... the performance difference from the 458 to the F12 is huge. I loved the howl from that engine. Incredible car.
Cant wait for mine... few months to go.
This is what he had to say about the F150:

Quote:
I saw the car in the private preview too on the 29th... Just like to add that it was absolutely unreal... Also the new steering was 2cm smaller than the 458 with a new design. The air brake is in operation on breaking along with the active rear diffuser. I absolutely loved the rear... Got to mention that these timings spoken of are from test mules not on the actual car with all the clean flowing aero...so numbers are only going to be better.
I personally cannot wait for either of the cars.

Well, we only know what he knows, There might be other Indians who were invited in other batches who have collections outside India. BTW, I mistook AP for the one in Bangalore, not Poonawalla, my bad!
