Honda kills the Insight

Honda has decided to pull the plug on it's 2 seater Insight Hybrid this year. Honda sold about 320 units of the car in the first four months compared to 30,357 units of the Toyota Prius. BUT, Honda will develop a new hybrid car smaller in size and price then the Civic hybrid. That car comes in 2009.

BUT the biggest good news is that Honda is also developing a all new clean V6 diesel engine

. Now that gonna be worth waiting for. I will take the Accord with the V6 diesel or better still a Acura TL V6 TDi.

Yea, Insight would have started looking pointless alongside the Civic hybrid and the Prius.

What will happen to the fate of 320 who bought it? They will run out of spares...

The V6 diesel engine seems to be cool...

@ksethuram i think the 320 figure that he mentioned was the sales figure for the first four months compared to the prius.

mabey they will make a hybrid version of the fit that they are planning to launch/launched in NA

Not sure though, but maybe honda plugged this one cause there's a possible replacement for it called IMAZ.

And yeah the v6 diesel sounds awesome
