The Australian site vehicle looks a 1/2 segment bigger actually than the Endy. The current front looks richer than the one in the snaps. The current Endy is an ergonomic disaster but looks quite cool though.

I am sorry but if it ends up looking like this, Ford will loose a lot of customers. This design has absolutely nothing going for it.

The current Endeavor is aggressive but outdated & needs a new model to take charge against the competition.

Have seen the Ford Ranger pick up in person (In South Africa) & looks really good indeed, not as aggressive may be because globally the trend is such (we saw in the facelift Fortuner looking softer than the previous gen) but the Ranger does have all the muscle required as also its grown in size

The white car is the new Ranger SUV in it's seven seater configuration, which will eventually become the Endeavour in India.

At last some sensible looking SUV! though from the side, its got a Fortuner hue, the overall design looks pretty good!

Hope this makes to our shores!!

Re: 2014 Ford Endeavour spotted testing

The rear end looks promising. The second row doors seem to be an after thought on ford ranger. Yes, the third picture does show the fortuner-rover mix-up. Fortuner from tail light area and Range rover like glass fitting as well as vents on the cowls. The front, although, has failed to impress me, A body coloured bumper might just wok the magic, in my humble opinion. BUT, I am yet to be familiar with her stride. How big is her heart? Any idea?

Re: 2014 Ford Endeavour spotted testing

The new Endeavour will be heavily based on Ranger pick up truck, which is a big improvement over the previous generation. Seems like Endeavour has lost some length here, its no longer a 5 meter + truck. I like the newer design better, i also like the current generation Endy's looks.

The Ranger pick up-

The Australian-developed Ford Ranger has won the European International Pick-Up of the Year award. I just hope Ford is serious about launching the new Endeavour here in India.

Quite a good looking number there. IIRC, the Endeavour comes to India as CKD units from Thailand. Unless Ford have plans to discontinue the Endeavour in India, we should get this once the new Ford Everest is launched in Thailand (and Ford Inida exhaust the existing CKD kits).

Re: 2014 Ford Endeavour spotted testing

The vehicles spotted in Australia are the first batch of protos. At this prototype stage the vehicle is basically the current gen ranger pick up until the B pillar and the territory SUV from there on. This is not representative of its final design.

The current generation Endeavour in India will be replaced by this Ranger platform based SUV.

Does this mean that there is, at best, a couple of years before this new avatar hits our shores?

Re: 2014 Ford Endeavour spotted testing

Looks interesting but at the same time a bit confused. Resembles the Rangey from the back (a little) and a Pajero Sports from the side! Let's wait and see how the final product turns out to be...
