Congrats Sameeracer! It does look like "King of the Road" with that "Don't mess with me" front look. Have fun!

Sameer can we have some more information on the special edition Fortuner. I enquired at the local dealership in Pune. They have denied any such new model coming out. The waiting periods here too are very long. 45 to 60 days for the 4x4.

Re: 2014 Toyota Fortuner coming up

Sorry for reviving this old thread. Just needed an update whether or not is it a good time buy the Fortuner ?? Planning to get one soon especially keeping the price cuts in consideration. Was only speculating the launch of a facelift anytime soon since its been quite a while since an update has been brought in. Any news on the same ? & should I go ahead with the booking ?

Waiting even for the 4x2 MT is 2 months in my city.

Hey,
I think there wont be any updates to the present model since it is doing very well.So you can go ahead with your booking. The previous update which has been talked about in this page did make it to India but only as a limited addition version minus the rims and black interiors. This update is available only in the 4x4 trim.
Congratulations in advance for your car and if budget permits go for the 4x4 variant.
P.S.: W.r.t. the waiting period try calling the Toyota helpline and check if they can do something.I had got a call a few weeks ago from my local dealership about ready delivery of any of the trims of the Fortuner.

Thanks. Not going in for 4x4 coz won't be needing it according to the current needs (i.e. tackling very bad roads in a worst case scenario) Will call up the helpline and recheck. Another reason to get it now is the excise cut (benefits of around 65k on OTR price)
