Along with the perfect road trip I believe Top Gear team has already started filming for season 21, which is supposed to air sometime in January 2014. Attached are some pics that have surfaced from the shoots.

Jeremy Clarkson had posted in his official face book account "Ready for Top Gear Series 21?" This implies the series will be aired any time soon and I have a belief it is going to be for Christmas with a special Christmas episode as in the past.
Any way I'm eagerly waiting.

They are back! 23rd Jan. The show air date will be on 26th January. Christmas special will be in Feb.

I sincerely hope this season does not turn out, or have any resemblance to 'The Perfect Road Trip'.

The Perfect Road Trip saw the duo try too hard to be their artificial self and ended up creating one of the worst production to bear JC or TG mark on it. Hope the TV series distances itself.

I heard the Perfect Road trip was overpriced and not worth the money- cost the same as a DVD of the whole series
