Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

I am an ardent fan of the reviews put out by Chris Harris. He is a very good driver with great taste and know his cars very well. See how he uses the full width of the track while talking on the camera and you'll know how good a driver he really is.

And I am glad he is not a racing driver as I get to watch these awesome reviews. And above all, the self proclaimed Hoonigan gives an amazing technical perspective on each automobile that he reviews. And it is not easy to make reviews with such depth without making the the viewers bored. And those videos are beautifully shot with great soundtrack as well. And did I mention the dry wit?

I have shared many of his reviews all over T-BHP on the respective thread for the car. This thread is solely for his reviews which feature cars that doesn't fit into the thread that we already have here in T-BHP.

I will try to put up the very latest and please don't share the old ones here. I am sure you'll be able to find most of them in a bunch of threads.

And here is the first of them all for this thread. And the best one to date: Ferrari F40 v Ferrari F50. Like You've Never Seen Them Before. Enjoy!

It got one of my all time favorite cars and the soundtrack is the best that I have seen in a car review. It muted at the right places to let the Ferraris scream and then there is a moment of silence towards the end. I have got a new respect for the F50 after watching this video. Its perfect!

PS: And if you watch closely, you can see the F50 and the F40 kicking the rear wheel up.

1) Add some more reviews from the different threads in T-BHP
2) Make the links shared more presentable, like keeping the car names on Bold etc.

re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

It was a surprise, there was never a dedicated thread for this man on TeamBHP! Thanks for starting one

My favorite episode has to be the Formula Ford with the EcoBoost doing rounds in the ring. That noise is car-porn for any petrohead

re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Thanks for this thread!

He is one of the best reviewers of cars I have ever seen, with classic British humour and facts rolled into one.

I am surprised there was not a thread on him already, so thanks(again) for creating this thread!

re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Just watched the Ferrari one you have posted above.

WOW

Loved it to bits, fantastic video, music where appropriate, unlike many other videos where the actual music(engine noises) is drowned out by the unnecessary music.

MODS: Sorry for back to back posts, edit limit on earlier post had expired.

re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

If there is any car journalist worth watching, it has to be Chris Harris. And now he is on the /drive network. All their videos are amazing work and made for the automobile lover.

re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Great to finally have a thread on Chris Harris. He is one hell of a presenter. Brilliant videos with apt amount of slow motion sideways and fast cornering, British humour and unbiased facts and figures all rolled into one. I have never enjoyed watching Fifth Gear because of the lack of quality humour and ofcourse facts and information. Top Gear has been up there for a long time and Chris comes very very close to it.

Re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Great Thread!

The best thing about Chris Harris reviews is the fact that he doesn't hold back on the sheer excitement that comes from driving such cars that most of us can't and/or atleast not in a way that they are meant to be driven.

While most of the other presenters "talk" about how it feels to drive a supercar - Chris manages to "express" it.

And in his reviews - it is mostly the CAR that is the main limelight - Not the presenter

Re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

For me Chris Harris and the entire /drive network is doing a better job than TopGear. After /drive got Chris Harris and Larry Kosilla, I never felt the need to watch other car shows. Its a wholesome experience. Do check out their other videos as well. They had got exclusive coverage of the ROC 2013. As well as their videos of Koeniggsegg and Morgan car factory.

Re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

I have to say he is the best car reviewer I have seen. Fifth gear is far too serious and boring at times. I am a subsciber to his channel and always watch any fresh material posted there.

Re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Its been a while since I watched it, but I really enjoyed this one.

The car belongs to Chris, so I felt like they had more time to shoot it and plan the shots etc - so it was a step up in terms of cinematography (maybe it was also just when Neil Carey came on board for the video?).

Re: Chris Harris' car reviews & videos

Thanks for starting this thread. I have been following Chris for around 6 months now and I have seen almost all of his videos. His videos of Porsches specifically have made me into a Porsche fan.

He really is one of the best car reviewers right now. Perfect combination of information and flair.

Cheers.
Rachit.
