Elio Motors: USA Manufacturer with a 3-wheeled car

There was a recent launch in the US Automotive industry - A 3 wheeled car which can deliver up to 84 Mpg and costs $6800. Good thing is that the price includes A/C, power windows, FM etc.

The car is powered by An inline, 3 cylinder, .9 liter, 55 HP, fuel-injected, SOHC gas-powered, liquid-cooled, automotive engine.

Check out the specs and it seems to be impressive. I personally didn't like the looks though.

Interesting and excellent pricing, but not sure how much of a success it will be commercially though.
Looks like a covered Can-Am

These kind of vehicles are perfect city cars but need to change perspective about them, instead of marketing them as cheap, ecohippie transport, present them as efficient, affordable and safe vehicles for individuals.

Even though it looks dreadful, the specs alone make it a decent vehicle. However, targeting the average US customer with this city-friendly car is pretty lame, IMO. No one in their right mind would go for this car when they have better options to look for.
