There was some discussion on the Dubai Motorshow pics uploaded by a bhpian. Clearly its just a mockup model, hence no mention of it anywhere.

The things that came to my mind when I read this piece of news
1. How did they test it?
2. Do we have such roads?
3. Do we have such tires?
4. 560 kmph is about 60% of the speed of a Boeing. International flights travel at slightly <1000kmph typically. At that speed, wouldn't the car gain so much thurst that it could fly?

But then, wouldn't showcasing/marketing a product with false claims attract legal procedures?

That precisely is the purpose of this thread.

Follow the link below to see the video of the car on the roads of Dubai, doesn't really sound like a jet powered car. I feel that the stats of the cars were hyped.

We have all mocked the Devel Sixteen or been skeptical about the companies lairy performance figure claims, but recent dyno test proves that the engine easily smokes anything else out there. Quite frankly this is scary a claimed 0-100 of 1.8 seconds and a top speed of over 500 kmph?

even Formula one drivers are not trained to manage such speeds we are all mere mortals and this horsepower race is getting a little bit out of hand IMO
