Re: Revealed! Fiat 500 5-door, the Punto's replacement

Spy shots in Italy seem to indicate the testing of New Fiat Punto.

Revealed! Fiat 500 5-door, the Punto's replacement-cexocuvuuam6mgn.jpg

Speculation are probably belonging to the Fiat Group,
Quote:
has some details that might suggest a Fiat Punto although many components seem totally different from the model that is known. It is not clear whether it could be a possible future generation of the Fiat Punto, which could change the name evolved shapes and sizes, or if the prototype is designed for emerging markets.
Quote:
The hypothesis of the car for emerging markets is reinforced by shots of the front three quarters, with the side that looks different, perhaps for the camouflage, perhaps actual diversity, compared to that of today's B-segment of the Lingotto. Also the muzzle seems to be very different, as well as the shape of the roof of the car.

Re: Revealed! Fiat 500 5-door, the Punto's replacement

The first mules have been assembled and durability tests will begin soon on the roads of the country (Brazil)

The new generation of premium compact will be released in Brazil between the end of 2016/2017. The development and production of the model was approved weeks ago by the highest levels of FCA Group.

Quote:
The VP (check case) of the new Punto which is a step before production of pre-series models is scheduled for June 2016. The model will be built on a new platform and there are rumors that the new generation of the Compact may replace Palio beyond the Punto. In the coming months the first prototypes of the Compact will start the tests of durability.

The version of the new-generation Punto will be equipped with new engine which will power 1.4 GSE above the 912s and torque of 14kgfm.
