Next gen A4 has been spied for the first time wearing a significant amount of camouflage.
The test mule seems to be having a lower front and a longer rear, while the exterior mirrors have been entirely redesigned. Also note the line above the door handles seems to be closer to the window frame.
New A4 will adopt an upright "three-dimensional" front grille along with better defined wheel arches.
Expected reveal sometime in 2015 :thumbs up

I can see that the headlamps are near to what BMW had don't with their 3 series - starting from the grille.
The hood has become longer and the car looks lower also.

The Next Gen A4 will probably be based on the Volkswagen group MQB modular platform, just like a Golf or Skoda Octavia.

New Audi A4 coming in 2015, to be lighter and have more luggage capacity than the current car and could be lighter in the range of 100kg as compared to the current base Audi A4.
The fifth-generation Audi A4 will feature three body styles -- a sedan, a wagon and an Allroad variant which would follow later. The next-generation A5 coupe, Audi RS5 coupe and Sportback models will follow in 2016.

Latest report suggests the A4(B9) launch has been
delayed to make modifications to its styling, suspension and assistance systems.
Now the expected launch is pushed to summer 2015 :thumbs up

In addition to your comments on styling , a plug-in hybrid model is being asked to be adapted as soon as possible and requested changes on the car’s chassis and driver assistance systems.

Before there are any questions why this car looks exactly like the current A4, answer remains simple as its a development mule.
Development mule’s often test new technology in an old body, meaning they look like old models but actually they’re completely new :thumbs up

Really surprised to see such a goofup at the end of Audi.
The rear looks a lot like the facelifted A8 rear end.
