Hyundai is speculating to launch Genesis in May 2016, the luxury sedan is still expected to be brought in via the CBU route.

It is not at all an easy task for a brand to transcend all the associated baggage and move up the value chain in this manner.

Haven't they started this already with the Santa Fe which is priced close to Q3 / X1 ? The best part, all this under their current brand "Hyundai".
