Unfortunately the test results for this initiative has been negative and Heijmans Infrastructure, the Dutch engineering firm responsible, said in a statement that the activity is put on hold until they resolve the issues. They will also be fading out the already laid lines to prevent possible confusions to motorists.
The main glitches were that, the markers don't give off a uniform amount of light, and more importantly, they've been disappearing with heavy rainfall.
