The RS magic is still young at heart, even as the story began in 1974 with the ŠKODA 180 RS and ŠKODA 200 RS racing cars.
They ran in an official motorsport competition for the first time in June 1974, then known as the Skoda Rally.
The 200 RS was powered by a 163PS 2.0-liter engine that could propel the car to a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).
The legendary ŠKODA 130 RS in the 1970s and 1980s, also known as 'Porsche of the East' was one of the most successful sports cars of its time.
The rear-engined, RWD car featured a 140PS 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with speeds reaching 220 km/h (137 mph).
