991 Porsche 911 GT3 RS - Leaked!

First photograph of what's in my opinion the best car Porsche makes, the new (991) 911 GT3 RS has leaked into the internet.

The changes from a standard GT3 include some serious weight shedding (of course!), a wider body, a fixed rear spoiler, Turbo'esque air-intakes in the rear and two new intakes on the front fender.

While it shares the basic 3.8 flat-six from the GT3, power is said to go up.

I guess we'd have to wait till the official unveiling to know the exact specs.

Ever since I have seen the reviews of the 997 GT3, I have been eagerly waiting for this one and boy it looks gorgeous. Lets see if they launch this one with PDK only. That will make the last generation GT3 RS 4.0 one of the cults, although I am quite sure it still is.

Two more pics have surfaced from Autobild.

The spoiler is a bit much, IMHO.

Its is ofcourse your opinion, but then again, this is the RS version - this is what folks take to the track and fix aftermarket anyway, so Porsche is factory-fitting it for them. Typical pics of GT3's at tracks across the world:

The really sad thing about the new GT3 RS is the addition of turbos. They freaking ruined the formula of the GT3: NA, RWD, Manual

RWD, High power Turbo + track focused was the GT2 /GT2 RS formula. Now there's no need for that at all.

Hands down, the most wicked car out there. A true petrol-head's true automobile. Notice the yellow index stripe on the racing wheel; race inspired or not, i love it !!

Not sure if this has been posted here already or if it is old news, but it seems there's a 991 GT3RS in India! Was casually checking out zauba.com for new arrivals in India when I stumbled upon this!

@mods I'm sorry if this has already been posted here or if I'm in the wrong thread. I'm just too excited! If there's a problem here, I'm happy to move the post or remove it
