Fresh spy shots from JAPAN;





Mazda has stated the new MX-5 will look like nothing we’ve seen so far and the spyshots come to confirm the same.

The new MX-5 is rumored to be 100 kgs lighter.

Other details remain minimal at this point, so lets wait & watch.

Looks good. As a former owner of 1999 model, I hope the drive is still about that pure connection that you feel with the car. You feel so good just rowing through the gearbox even in city traffic. I wouldn't mind driving one even in our traffic conditions.

Smaller and lighter than its predecessor, 50/50 weight distribution, rear-wheel-drive, 6 speed manual gearbox, open top, relatively high profile wheels and LSD as standard. Just wow! The perfect roadster? You bet!

My only complaint, those narrow headlights. But we will get used to it quite soon I guess. Well done Mazda!

Mazda MX-5 crowned World Car of the Year 2016!

The Mazda MX-5 has been declared the winner of the World Car of the Year award.


At a ceremony held at the New York motor show, the Mazda MX-5 was announced as the international jury’s favourite new car for 2016, beating competition from a list of 23 new cars, including fellow finalists, the Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
