Renault Duster "Pick-up" spotted testing

DACIA is undergoing final testing of a series production DUSTER pickup;

After the 1st gen Logan which was available as a pick up it seems Dacia has made a wise move by offering the very capable Duster in an "Pick-up" avatar

FWD or AWD layout can be available depending on the engine options.

Speculative launch @ Paris Motor Show (Oct. 2014)

That Duster looks ugly from all possible angles. Looks like they chopped portion of current Duster to make this ugly pick-up.

I believe Duster pick up version looks much better than the previous pick up they had in their stable i.e. "Logan pick up";

But wait, Check out this render of the " New Logan pick up ";

The load area should have been lengthier - now it looks like some stubby load area.

Man! That's one ugly looking Duster, for sure!!

Hope this does not end up exciting the senses of our Indian manufacturers! Imagine a Brio based, Amaze based, Mobilio based 'God Knows' what pick up from Honda!!

That looks to be to pickups what the San storm was to two seat convertibles.
And useless for the indian market for sure.
Sort of reminds me of the mahindra(?) thing, genio(?)

What a lame effort. Looks more like a chop job by a local shop than a team of R&D engineers.

What a completely pointless vehicle too. It's poorly suited to the role of a true pickup, with that monocoque build. You want to haul, get a proper body-on-frame to abuse!

Not just that, with barely any visible load, have a look at wheel well clearance. The wheels have filled the gap and any further load may end up in scraping and or bottoming out.

Hideous. Should be in the Whacky Mods section.

Looks like a half baked product and the side profile some how reminds me of San Storm!!

Renault/Dacia cant be serious about this, right?

This looks like an overnight homework effort by some school kid . I don't see any effort here to design a proper pickup and it just shows. #wackyashell.

I for one, like this SUT. It does look chic and suave. I think it will cater to the guys having farmhouses/guest houses on the countryside who would only have to haul domestic needs.

This one looks hideous to me. What would anyone use this truck for? A truck should be butch!
Could carry a lot of groceries from the supermarket!

Re: Renault Duster "Pick-up" spotted testing

Remembers me of an article that i read in a 2000-03 era Auto India where they were day dreaming about various station wagon variants of existing cars and also car based pick up trucks like below.

and this...
