VW is already releasing the NEW POLO for Brazil with small changes to the bumpers - though not for meeting the <4m length.
The point here is VW could modify, if needed, to suit regional markets if the changes are not substantial.

2017/Next Gen Polo review by AE,(1.0-litre petrol / 94bhp- DSG)

There’s not much steering feel and it’s a bit too light, but the Polo’s traditional strong balance of ride and handling has stayed intact for this new model.

The DSG gearbox in our car isn’t the best choice, as while it is a smooth-shifting unit, it’s not very quick - the manual is cheaper and is easy to use

As it’s bigger than before, there’s more legroom in the back - although it’s not as spacious as a Suzuki Baleno or Honda Jazz

2018 VW Polo GTI

A 2-liter turbo engine, that engine produces 200 HP stock and an impressive 320 Nm (236 lb-ft).

The GTI's peak 320 Nm arrives from as low as 1,500rpm. There's also more than in almost any other competitor: 260 Nm in Clio RS, 280 Nm in the Cooper S hatch, 300 Nm in the Peugeot 208 GTi.

The new Polo GTI will do 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.7 seconds and tops out at 237 km/h or 147 mph.

The model comes in three trim versions, three engine options and two of transmission (manual or automatic).

The Brazilian model has differences in relation to the Polo sold in Europe and manufactured in Navarre (Spain).

It is connected to a five-speed sequential racing transmission that sends power to permanent four-wheel drive system.
