Today morning I was quite surprised to receive a message from the DWTC about the motor village thing happening in Dubai. The venue is Meydan and the timing is mentioned to be 2pm.

This I believe is the first of it's kind and compensates for not having a motor fest this year clap:

It's said that 500 + supercars and superbikes can be closely viewed :I Rule: Also mentioned about Redbull car park drift, Nissan offroad experiences, Infiniti Light show, Bike stunts etc are the events. On further research I got the details of website which can be viewed here.

Since it is a Friday, I will try my level best to be there. Hope this meet materializes as this would be my first UAE meet, and a good one at that.

I happened to be at the so called parade. One word I would use to describe it is extravagant. Super cars, so many of them, didn't make a difference to me till I am driving them cos I see them all the time on the roads, sometimes revving past me or sometime going slow towards the side.

Talking about the event, I stay around 80 + kms from the venue. I was late, it was supposed to start at 14:00 hrs. On top of that, I got lost :Frustrati Happens to me all the time with the number of confusing exits they have. I am not even joking but I have visited Meydan 10 times or more.

I reach by 15:00 hrs and I see a huge crowd. My cams focus is always on Auto. By the time I entered and started clicking, I started getting blurred images. I clicked twice and then stopped. Checked the focus and it's in manual. That was the crowd there, a true test of Nikon's reliability right there.

I don't think any Bhpians could make it there, but I couldn't see the redbull drift which was at 20:00 hrs. I was exhausted by then and I left by 19:00 hrs.

I clicked around 280 pics. Sharing some good one's with you guys. Not much editing gone in apart from trying to make the vehicle as much visible as possible. I will post couple of videos towards the end, though the video quality is less the sound wouldn't disappoint lol:

After all the cars left, I saw this guy standing alone. Guessing that it has a blown engine due to revving the nuts out.



After that all the cars and motorbikes left for parading I was left with some corvette's and other motorcycle and car stalls to roam around till the parade returned.

I was there in the parade, I was riding pillion on a Kawasaki ZX12R, the bike is there in your pics. I'm the resident photographer for our riding group,so I had to be there.

The parade was not a good experience for bikers. Once all nice cars left, the roads were back to normal and we had to ride through bumper traffic

My bike didn't get selected for the parade,But while coming back, i managed to get my bike also in. :D

Have tons of videos and photos, but didn't had time to process them.

Hello Anif,

I guessed that you will be in the parade. Actually bikers were given very little importance, I could sense that from the outside(announcers). But nonetheless a chance to ride alongside big boys is always a pleasure, isn't it?

You got the chance to be near Mclaren's. I think all of them left just after the parade. I couldn't make it for the red bull drift which I wanted to. Did you by any chance?

I had like 300 pics and some 10 videos, some of it I posted and rest I will post it up tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

More pictures of the parade, of cars n bikes which were coming back after roaming around in Dubai. I think Dubai aims at having more than half of the Guinness books of world records in its name. Anyways this was a world record item with more than 600 cars participating in a parade.

There were people posing near the cars, very adamant that they would stay long. I had to go ahead and shoot with them along with the car.

Now I walk around, since there are no cars around I had to walk around to spot more cars. The parking lot has GTR's.













I saw Shelby mol standing alone with people watching it.



And then the car's and bikes start coming back.

I drooled so much, now i am taking medicines for dehydration.

And then it rained supercars and superbikes. Felt like heaven.

There are couple of videos too. But they were playing music in full volume. Engine noise audibility was less than I expected, very intelligent of the organizers to play loud music. I also don't think there is an option to upload video, sound clips might be very boring.
