2015 Chevrolet Sail unveiled in China

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2015 Sail sedan at Auto Guangzhou. This is the 3rd generation Sail and has been aptly named the Sail 3. The Sail 3 is 51 mm longer and 45 mm wider than its predecessor. The wheelbase too, has been increased by 35 mm.

Engine options include a 1.3-litre VVT and a 1.5-litre DVVT unit. These engine can be matched to a manual or "mechanical automatic" transmission with the start/stop function.

Notable exterior differences include a new front grille, new headlamps, new tail lamps, reworked bumpers and new rear view mirrors.

Since its introduction, Chevrolet has sold nearly 1.4 million units of the Sail in China.

A good update considering its lineage. But, does anyone see a bit of Hyundai Verna (fluidic!) in the face of the new Sail ?

It just doesnt look inspiring, or even original. Whenever this comes to India, we can probably expect the same lackluster response as the current version.

Couldn't agree more. Very boring design. Almost feels like they just put this out there cause it was due. Nothing about this looks unique, original or desirable. If you spot this car in a parking lot along with an Etios and Ford Fusion classic and no one would be able to tell which is a new design and which is old.

The design shares some cues with the new Cruze. It isn't mind boggling or awe inspiring, but this is better than the current model.
