I managed to sprint across the LA Auto Show 2014 this past week. Unfortunately this is not an in-depth coverage due to paucity of time, however I assume some people might still appreciate a few images, so here we go!

The event was held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in Downtown LA:



A dose of history awaits at the entrance. Maserati celebrates 100 years!





This 'Black Pearl' was quite an eye-catcher.





The McLaren P1 alongside a Tesla Model S.

The Americans were out in full force with their gas-powered muscle at a time when Cali is gripped by hybrid mania. Here's the present day Shelby GT350...

American design has taken such a drastic turn for the better in recent years. I was hugely impressed by Cadillac, Buick and Lincoln getting classy with their latest stuff. No pics from the Buick stand unfortunately, but here's some sexy Cadillac stuff...















...and some shiny new metal from Lincoln.

I love concepts at the shows because that's the stuff one can't really see on the streets. Here's something outlandish from Nissan.



The A7 gets a nip and tuck, and some fancy nomenclature.







The HOT new Audi.......A9? What is it going to be?

Wait, did you say design? The Italians show who's boss. Here's Maserati's finest.









Volkswagen decides to get a bit crazy as well.

Not everything needs to go crazy though. The plutocrats, dictators, czars (and footballers) like their snooty Bentleys just so. There's the Flying Spur. Just a matter of time

All I can say is "WOW".
That's a astounding collection of old and new cars.
I really liked the "The Black Pearl". Pearl indeed.
Just being curious - Is that ET from Chevy a formula car or a car designed/conceptualized for the roads?
