yup the new X5 is official and it sure as hell is a very pointless one. The interior is just crappy and whats up with the dirty SMG typoe long transmission

I am going to reserve my criticism for when i see it in person, it doesnt look that bad, a total redesign is not always a good thing, its a stronger refresh than a normal refresh, i sort of think it looks nice, but cant really tell..

BMW is going the Maruti way, by facelifting the X5 when its actually due for a total revamp.

I mean, it's literally spoiling the existing X5s bold looks. It now just looks like an X3 that has pumped iron...and now looks like a meathead more than anything else.

It is the official pics, car was launched at 10.00 am New York time. Was expecting something radicl. It probably has a lot more underneath. As 1day said, lets see it in the metal and then decide

Wat? Is this thing really new or is it a lame joke????

Where has BMW's bold design direction gone? Did they design this on the sly when Mr Bangle was out for lunch and hastily finalise it?? Good god!!!

I liked the old one's design better. As others said it can be mistaken for anX3, But the interior looks quite neat. Hope its even better to drive than the old one.

Don't know about you guys, but I've always loved the design of the X5, particularly the one with the AC Schnitzer kit.

This one looks like it's got a flared front end, and the wheels looks amazing...as if taken straight of a Lambo.

I like it, though it seems there has been barely any other change.

I would recommend people to take a look at more pictures @ worldcarfans.com

I am somehow liking the car..I guess we were really expecting too much from the redesign..its not really an anticipiated car like the S or the CL or 7/5/3 have been, so its ok..I think it would look good in the metal, lot of people didnt like the new S, but after seeing people changed their minds...i liked the new S in pictures, but when i first saw it, it was magnificant, the best mercedes has every done!!

not saying this is the nest, but this is almost in the top 5 designs of BMW with new 7 leading all the way with lst gen 3, 5 and M3
