The 289 FIA Cobras were among the most important cars in racing history and were driven by some of the most revered drivers like Bondurant, Miles, Gurney and Hill. Little did it surprise when Schumacher got himself the 427 as his birthday present, some years ago. Shelby American is offering an exclusive opportunity now to those who always dreamed of owning their Cobra's.

They will all come with special gold 50th anniversary badging, logos and features.

The Cobras will be offered with either aluminum or fiberglass bodies.
Aluminum cars will be offered in Polished aluminum (with or without brushed stripes) or Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white stripes. Fiberglass bodied cars will only be offered in Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white stripes.
An anniversary badge will be included stating 1 of 50 / 2 of 50 and so forth.
All come with a unique Shelby issued MSO and place in the registry.

Magnificent car. The epitome of the old American "there aint no substitute for cubic inches"

About twenty five years ago I drove a Cobra around the Old Nurnberg racetrack. One of the most scary rides in my life. Not only one of the most expensive cars I have ever driven, but also the fastest on the straight and probably the worst in the bends.

Loved every second of it. The guys who owned it wanted to try my classic Alfa Romeo Spider on the circuit. Sure, I said, Ill let you have my Spider for your Cobra and he did!

These days there are a huge number of replica's out there as well. Some are really good and you really need to know your Cobra's to distinguish them from the real McCoy.

Always admired the Cobra's....
Just simple pure raw performance without any complications!

Even after so many years!
