Lamborghini Reveals The Huracan GT3

The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 has made its world premiere at the brand's headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. Two Huracán GT3s will line up in the Blancpain Endurance Series that runs over five venues in Europe, including the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hours race.

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 is equipped with an Alu-Carbon chassis and a fully integrated FIA-compliant roll-cage. The subframe has been modified both at the front and rear to accommodate a high performance radiator (front), and for a better positioning of the gearbox (rear). The kerb weight comes in at 1,239 Kg with a 42/58 front/rear weight distribution. The GT3 gets improved aerodynamics that enable improved cooling of the braking system. Efficiency is also said to improve with an adjustable rear wing, along with an adjustable front diffuser and louvres.

The new rear-wheel drive Huracán GT3 uses the V10 direct injection engine used on the Huracan LP610-4, which is fixed on the chassis by rigid mountings and is coupled with a sequential six-speed gearbox and a three disc racing clutch. The engine is governed by a Bosch Motorsport control unit that also manages traction control, gearbox and the TFT display on the dashboard. All wiring and connectors are designed specifically for racing.

Stopping power comes from 6 pot 380x34 mm steel discs at the front and 4 pot 355x32mm steel discs at the back, equipped with Bosch ABS. The Huracan GT3 gets 315/680 tyres at the front and 325/705 at the back. The car also comes equipped with a pneumatic lifting system.

The GT3 is equipped with a performance enhanced engine and gearbox oil cooler. The car features a carbon frame 8862 specification seat, OMP fire extinguishing system, FT3 fuel tank, emergency roof hatch, adjustable foot pedals along with LED head and tail lights.

In Europe, the Huracán GT3 is priced at €369,000 (Nearly Rs 2.64 Crore).
