X3 3rd Gen Vs. X3 2nd Gen video by BMW

When they show it like that side by side, that grill just looks too big!

Re: The next-generation BMW X3 (G01)

This car will be interesting. But I still feel that the xc60 outdoes it in terms of features that make it to India.
Eg. Fancy radar based stuff that is present only in the Volvos even though govt allowed cars to use radar freq.
In the end, it's a head vs heart thingy. Any clue about the expected launch? Dealers in Delhi have sold out their x3 inventory this month.

Also I don't know if it's just me, but the old front look was ballin' this one looks very different. Not like the 5 series that got more aggressive. Apart from the front, the new one is so much better, especially the rear and interior.

Nice update. Love the new front design and the LED tail light is superb. Not sure if anyone would opt for the individual package on an X3 but its a great option to personalize the car.

Re: The next-generation BMW X3 (G01)

This car looks awesome. They should launch the diesel in 6 cylinder version in the near future.

But watch out for the new Q5 as well. Tough times are ahead for the Mercedes GLC.

I agree that XC60 comes with lot of features. Also my regards for Volvo in very high when it comes to safety features. As far as I know the Volvo S60 launched way back in India in 2011 has lot of safety features including the Lane departure warning, blind spot and much more.

But owning a BMW has lot of advantages in India right from sales to service. The brand recognition of Volvo is no where close to the Germans. Add to that the service packages offered by BMW which is best among the Germans. They do offer a peace of mind for 5 years of ownership. After all our market is more brand conscious. For most of the general folks don't even know that Volvo cars are there and for them Volvo means only Buses.

This premium SUV will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo next month. Into its 15th year of production worldwide, the new X3 will initially come with a 2.0-litre diesel motor with a larger diesel or a petrol at a later stage.

Re: The next-generation BMW X3 (G01)

That rear seat folding system on X3 looks first for any BMW. Looks easy to operate, hope it makes to India

Volvo has priced and specced the Indian version handsomely so BMW will have to watch for the prices. I believe anyone who gives driving pleasure a priority should go with BMW over Volvo. Interesting times for buyers in this segment.

As far as I remember the folding system was implemented in the X1. The X1 also have sliding & reclining rear seats.
Got an invite message from BMW that they are showcasing an X3 preview event this weekend. Hope the car ticks all the boxes.

Re: The next-generation BMW X3 (G01)

New BMW X3 has launched at 49.99 for base 2.0 D Expedition and 56.70 for Luxury Line. Pricing i would say is good.

Although i tried to go to BMW.in to see the car and its details but the page wasnt updated yet. BMW India really is least bothered about keeping its webpage updated and having all information for potential buyers. Half Hearted Attitude.

Re: The next-generation BMW X3 (G01)

It will be interesting to see the spec sheet. Usually the top end model is called X line instead of Luxury line as mentioned in the news article. Rs. 56.70L Ex Showroom will translate to about Rs. 72L on road in cities like BLR. That is more than what I paid for the last gen fully loaded 30d M Sport variant a couple of years back. Discounts have become the norm these days with luxury brands. Pretty sure we'll start seeing discounts being offered as early as this December.

I don't see BMW adding huge numbers with this X3 in India. The segment is highly competitive with competent offerings from Volvo, Merc and Audi. Moreover the market at this price point is miniscule to start with. But what is amazing is the amount of choice we have at this price point today!!

I don't think any review is coming up. The 5 series review itself is still pending.

Hey Even I'm interested in the X3, but waiting for the Volvo XC40 to release in a month or so. I know that BMW's are great to drive but with Volvo in the picture it will be easier to bargain for the X3.
