• The 'SYRMA' was created by 11 young designers and recently presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
• '11 Design Team' consists of 11 designers from across the world., 4 amongst them are from India (Marshin Bhatt, Rahul Sadwalker, Gaurav Jagtap and Sunny Ramrakhiani) whilst the others hail from Poland, China, Israel, Taiwan, Iran and Mexico.
• The designers are post-graduates from
Instituto Europeo di Deisgn in Italy and the project was done with Italian car magazine
Quattroruote as the final thesis project for their masters course in Transportation Design.
• The interior follows a staggered front seat layout similar to the Mclaren F1, with the driver getting a front-center position and the 2 passengers staggered on either side behind him.
• The concept talks about a hybrid propulsion system with a V6 twin turbo, approximately 4-litre engine and an electric engine that, together, could deliver around 900 hp. It's envisioned to be rear engined and rear-wheel-drive.
• Its arrival is perceived through front laser projection of messages and images on the road. Interesting concept, since the quietness of electric/hybrid cars is a safety concern when there is pedestrian traffic around.
• The car was made in about 5 months; including the design, computer 3D-modeling and a full scale model (shown at Geneva). The designers believe the car is homage to Italian styling with addition of International flavor to it.
