re: Fiat Egea unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Auto Show

I think it's a fantastic looking sedan. Love the very unique tail-lamp styling. Lets see what personality she has in person.

Unlike the Fiat Linea, this car is a result of the Fiat-Chrysler marriage, and the Aegea is based on a Dodge Dart platform. Because of that, the Aegea won't have much in common with the next-gen Punto (if & when it comes).

Re: Next-generation Fiat Linea caught in Sweden Edit: Named Aegea, now revealed in Turkey

Looks good... headlamps seem inspired by the Audi A4

The thigh-support at the rear is good - but the leg room needs improvement. Especially when the City/ Ciaz offer much more space at the back. And please bring on the 1.6 multijet!

Wow it really does look good! Those interiors too are gorgeous.

Too bad we will only get it here by the time its successor launches

re: Fiat Egea unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Auto Show

Really love the looks of the car, both interior and exterior are just spot on. Along with juicy multijet / tjet engines and the lovely suspension package. This one should be a fire cracker. I think fiat will have its fate turned around if they bring it to India asap and pitch it against the likes of Ciaz.

Darker shade does more justice to those lines!

Re: Next-generation Fiat Linea caught in Sweden Edit: Named Aegea, now revealed in Turkey

This looks wicked! And the rear is a sculpture not a boot! Wonder when would Fiat bring this to India.

With the 117bhp diesel motor this has the potential to kill off most of the C segment competition.

Fiat has a winner on their hands and they need to be quick about it. If they dilly dally on this for a couple of years and bring it when the competition has an answer to this, it will be too late.

Nice design, but doesn't look....erm...Italian anymore. A VAG group, heck even a slanted H won't look out of place on it.

This is the design from Dodge- Dart, but makes it more attractive

Now Fiat’s taken the Dart, de-Dodgified it, made it generally more attractive, and unveiled it as the Aegea project at the Istanbul auto show for European, Middle Eastern, and African consumption.

re: Fiat Egea unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Auto Show

It is a good looking car, Fiat is know to make head turners. The tail lamps look futuristic. It is known fact that it will take few years if not ages for this to reach indian shores and we still will have a stripped down version of it.

The things that didnt appeal to me - Quirky looking front grill, unrequired lines on the bonnet, age old flow vents. Gone are the days of smooth flowing lines from start to end.

Does the roof look ribbed too?

re: Fiat Egea unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Auto Show

Finally Fiat sheds its early 2000's Maserati front end, a design which today seems extremely bland & outdated since the newer Maseratis have the angry look. It does seem that Aegea is the new Linea but there is no telling when it might ever land up in this country. Nevertheless this is the true design transition for Fiat after almost 2 decades.

Ahh, I did feel this car shared a resemblance to Dodge Dart which in turn shares a resemblance with Hyundai Elantra. Good that you pointed this out, not many know that Dart shares the lower chassis frame of Elantra which was made & shipped out by Hyundai initially, maybe now I guess Dodge just uses the same design and specs. One of the reasons for this is that Dart uses the 6-Speed automatic/manual gear boxes made by Hyundai even today. Wonder if Aegea will also do the same to ensure affordability & reliability.

My mouth is watering at the prospect of this beauty coming to India. Fiat India, for once get your heads straight and bring this here. Have been a very happy Punto owner for the past 6 years now and would happily upgrade to this, if and when, she comes here.

drool...drool....absolute "maal" written all over it..what a beauty, FIAT has the best chance of resurrection this time with this stunning design, plonk the T-TJET & the 1.6 MJD and you have a winner.

Fantastic looking thing. But knowing where Fiat stands in the Indian market, I do not think even this car can save them. How about rebranding it as Chrysler and launching in India?

Truly a beauty. The front headlamps and raised bonnet crease is reminiscent of Hyundai i20.

The overall proportion and rear tail lamps enhances the overall stance and look.

Hopefully, they don't add further chrome inserts when it is brought to Indian shores and of course, don't change the interior scheme to beige.

Though it is a good idea, Chrysler brand demands a hefty premium.
The Aegea can at positioning be best at a Linea replacement and at the max. can demand a Rs. 50K premium.

Renaming exercise may not really help the brand!!

Just look at her! Every now and then, Fiat makes a desirable car. The first iteration of the Palio and the Punto, and now this. The detailing is splendid. A bit of the 3 series from the side, the kink and the C-pillar. Bonnet, bumper, tail lights, all exquisite. I want!
