Do we have a approximate price difference between Egea and Linea in Turkish markets ?

Fiat Egea specifications revealed.

The Egea will be available with two petrol engines and two diesel engines. The petrol lineup will consist of a 1.4-liter FIRE four-cylinder unit paired to a 5-speed manual transmission developing 95 hp, and a 1.6-liter Etorq 110 hp engine paired to a 6-speed automatic.

The diesel lineup, a 1.3-liter Multijet diesel will provide 95 hp with a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas a 1.6-liter Multijet diesel will develop 120 hp with a 6-speed manual. The publication states that from June 2016, the 1.6-liter Multijet will also be made available with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

It will measure 4.5 meters in length, 1.78 meters in width, 1.48 meters in height and 2.64 meters in wheelbase. The boot space is rated at 510 liters. The website further states that the most frugal variant of the Egea will deliver 25 km/l.

Good news for Fiat Fans , but have to wait till 2017!

The new sedan is expected to also be built in Brazil and India but not in Italy

The car for this(Brazil) market was given a facelift in November 2014 so local build of the yet to be revealed Egea five-door may not happen there until 2017.

Drool worthy. That's how a car should look like in first place. No unnecessary cuts and lines but pure timeless design.This is the beauty of these Italian designs is that they look superb in all the shades and it becomes really difficult to decide which shade looks better then the other.

If FIAT decides to launch this in India,I'll be the first one in the queue to replace my Linea. I am falling short of words to describe how beautiful EGEA looks.

Has similar styling to the Fiat Ottimo Cross. This is sedan version and the Ottimo is a hatchback crossover (?) version.

Jokes apart, I believe it is going to be manufactured in India at some point of time. 2017 may be? Dont know if they will launch in India though. If they do, then hope by then atleast they bring in the 1.6 L MJD.

Fiat Resurrects Tipo Name For Its New Compact Sedan .

Although in Turkey the car will be called Egea, in the rest of EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) countries the car will receive the iconic Tipo nameplate.

It is called the Tipo in Europe. And first driving impressions of the 1.6 MJD by AutoCar UK reveals a change in philosophy by Fiat on their new sedan. Impressive quality and comfort, but the dynamics fall short of the class best.
