I like Chris Evans, he is a very pleasant and also quite a funny bloke but he isnt Jeremy Clarkson. I think it was Radio 3 that Evans worked for and I am quite curious to know what TG must be offering him to keep him off the radio. I do know both belong to the BBC but they would be different divisions.

I hope Clarkson, May and Hammond do come up with something soon.

I dont think he's off the radio. 5mn pounds over the next three years from both stints, it seems.

Like the clarkson, hammond and may page on facebook. There are quite a few updates flowing in, pictures, as to what theyre up to.

Top Gear UK is Top Gear because of Jeremy, Richard and James. Once they leave the show, it may/will not be the same any more. I have watched couple of top gear episodes from US and Australia and the feel good factor was just not there !

Having said this, all the best to BBC and crew for next version of TG. Hope they keep the same level of passion and craziness in the new season too!

Chris Evans has huge, really HUGE void to fill. With the expectation set so high by the trio which is beyond reachable by anyone. I mean for eg. if you look at the TG US version, they try to emulate the same craziness but it can never match the UK version. Tanner is an amazing driver but still cannot be Jezza.

Unless BBC tries a different format, i think (with respect to Chris Evans) it would be a fail. And its going to take a long time before fans start following the show as before

The show will never be the same again ! They found ingenious ways to test cars also, what other car shows do we have which have shown the same amounts of creativity ? With the 'Hover van' , amphibious vehicles , motor homes and all such other things ?

Cannot wait for the trio to come back together and delight motorists again !

Also , as far as the female presenter is concerned , can anyone think of someone better than Sabine Schmidt ?

And on that bombshell its time to end !

Honestly I'm more interested where the Trio are going to join next, cause that's where all the action will be.

Top Gear could probably get the hottest female hosts on the planet and change their format a little bit but I believe many petrol heads are still loyal to the trio , maybe it's some sort of emotional attachment for what they've given us through the years.

Big interview with Chris in the latest Topgear magazine UK version. In all honesty, can tell much from the interview. Proof of the pudding etc. So we will see.

In that same issue, the third article about how the "new" TG came about as told by the exec. Producer Andy Williams. This time a lot of insights behind the scenes on how the "star in a reasonable priced car" came about. Very enlightning, very funny.
