Typically one won't associate Hyundai to racing as it hasn't been in their DNA. But with the recent inception of Hyundai's N performance division, they entered into the WRC and now taking big leap and working on a super racing car concept named "N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo". Hyundai unveiled it in IAA. The specs make it a mean machine with 871 bhp which merely weighs under a ton. It can be wicked quick. :thumbs up

I doubt if this concept will ever see the day light...!

Thought of sharing this with enthusiasts here.

It has to be remembered that this particular Gran Turismo race-car concept is not road-legal & has been built purely as a prototype, a symbol per se of the future of N & primarily as publicity for the Gran Turismo PlayStation game in which it is featured. There is an actual super-car intended for production with a 2.0 litre 300ps mid-engine layout that is in development (one of the designers for this might just be the recently hired Luc Donckerwolke of Lamborghini/Bentley).

With former VP of Engineering in BMW, Albert Biermann in charge of N, I have no doubt it can compete dynamically right on debut amongst the established brands. Most of the models undergo testing in Nurburgring today, despite all the efforts of competition to keep them out Hyundai went ahead & established the testing centre and completed 4000 laps cumulatively.
