Fiat begins testing the next-generation Punto. EDIT: Named Argo-img_20170517_204000.jpg

Quite similar to the Tipo, but a looker nevertheless. Too bad this wont be coming to India anytime soon.

New reports indicate FIAT ARGO is India bound. Time frame not known. A spin off of this could be a crossover too!

Quote:
While we can't confirm if it will be available in Europe or not, the model is likely to play a role in India sooner or later. From what we hear, Fiat will also spawn a small crossover from this platform, though one specifically designed for the South American market

This is a Mercedes centre console.

A-Class family if im not mistaken.

Even the map is centered in Sindelfingen

Additionally the side profile of the car looks too similar to the current Ford Figo

Not impressed at all. Too many folds and creases, no smooth lines which made the Punto looking hot. The rear wiper isn't stubby looking either. Maybe the Indian version (if at all it makes here) might see many more modifications I guess.

Re: Fiat begins testing the next-generation Punto. EDIT: Named Argo

All these years and they come up with i20 Elite -look-alike??? Flabbergasted to say the least. Where are the gods of italian design?
But something is better than nothing, Hopefully the engines and chassis is still good enough. Sigh!

Looks like the Grand i10 and the Elite i20 had a kid.Looks good in black though. But doesn't look like a Fiat design from any angle.

After seeing the reviews about Tipo and Aegea, I don't have high hopes. But then again, Europeans have much higher expectations than us.

Looks very similar to the Tipo and Mobi. This is the new family look for FIAT, whether or not that's a good thing.

What is there on top of the console that looks like a cassette player from the 90s? A real eyesore!

Thank God, there is one more person who has same eyes as mine, I too felt its a combination of i20 elite and grand i10. If at all this vehicle comes here, would it be able to match the sales numbers that i20 is making? would have to wait and see.

Re: Fiat begins testing the next-generation Punto. EDIT: Named Argo

I personally liked the design. Also the alloys are drool worthy. Not sure how they would come out in the production spec though. Did anyone notice the new style of the word "FIAT" written at the rear? Also any news if this is going to have an HPS or does this also come with the sad EPS like it's elder sibling the Aegea?

All said and done, when it comes to Fiat in India, it's the marketing that always spoils the party. I would find it interesting to see when Fiat launches this in India and how they treat the marketing of it. Especially now that they have a new found love with Jeep in India.
