Important thing is Chinese companies account for 90% of BEV sales.

Shell rolls out electric vehicle charging points at fuel stations in Singapore, first in Southeast Asia.

Quote:
The electric vehicle charging service, ‘Shell Recharge’, will be available at 10 Shell petrol stations in Singapore by October, this year or about 20% of its retail network in the city-state
Quote:
But unlike the other markets, Singapore has a negligible electric vehicle (EV) population.
Quote:
A Shell-commissioned study on electric vehicle consumer behavior showed that 52% of Singaporeans are deterred to buy or use an electric car as they think there are not enough charging stations in Singapore
Shell plans to make more of such low-carbon energy solutions available in Singapore in the following months and years.

Consumers avoid Electric Cars as concerns of Range, Price and Charging : Survey

Quote:
Almost half (~40%) of respondents were concerned about each of these issues, even though modern 250-mile range EVs are available new for under $30k post-incentive and are capable of 50-250 kW charging rates on thousands of chargers installed across the US

Came across this very interesting and unique EV potential where the Vehicle never needs to be recharged, literally working without consuming any energy !

The 45 Ton dump truck does with ease - Whilst the truck goes down with more than double the weight, the regenerative braking system recaptures more than enough energy to refill the charge the eDumper used going up

Toyota to provide 3,700 vehicles including EVs at Tokyo Olympic.

Quote:
Among the 3,700 vehicles, there will be both fully electric and electrified vehicles, which include Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) like hydrogen-powered Mirai, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), the Prius PHV along with the Accessible People Mover.

As the brand claims, among the electrified vehicles provided, Toyota will include approximately 500 FCEVs and 850 BEVs, the largest of any fleet for a Games to date.
Quote:
Out of the approx. 3,700 mobility products and/or vehicles for Tokyo 2020, 2,700 vehicles will be part of the official fleet providing transportation support between venues during the Olympic Games. These will be commercially-available vehicles, such as Mirai, etc. Preliminary calculations suggest that the CO2 emitted by the commercially-available fleet for Tokyo 2020 will average less than 80 g/km*1, resulting in a reduction by approx. half of the typical amount when compared to a similar sized fleet of mostly conventional gasoline and diesel models
