These are the first pictures of the next gen Jeep Wrangler;

Do note this is the 4th Gen Wrangler & will be ready for reveal in early 2017 & launch will follow in a few months after that

What saddens me is that FCA still hasn't launched the Wrangler in India though the testing & Jeep PR activities started since 2 years now. So when the car will be launched in the coming months what we will get, in a year will become old gen

Can't wait for this! Keeping the same rugged, dual solid-axle setup of the current Wrangler but substituting steel for aluminum will pay off leaps and bounds. Really hope the fold-down windshield is still there.

Big news is the next-gen will have a diesel too . Diesel rocks for off-roading. It'll also have a hybrid! I hope the hybrid has an offroad mode of some kind. Imagine the torque from that electric motor at 0 rpm .

Solid axle is a must. If that means aluminium doors & fenders, so be it. Despite all the rumours, there is no way that the Wrangler is ditching its solid axles for an independent suspension.

It has been showcased at the the Delhi Auto Expo also on the current edition.

The diesel is new only to US.

That interior looks great! It was one of the biggest drawbacks of the Wrangler - the very utilitarian interior.

This however might be a little out of place in a Wrangler off-roading with the top off. The dust would get in all those lovely buttons and screens.
