For me it looks impressive. Am more impressed with the concept and the intermediate versions than the final version (to be?) in Casino Royale. The car looks small in the final version than the concept.

Am posting pics of the intermediate versions (The triangle shapes in the bumper have disappeared and the rear view mirrors are in place):

Final version (as of now):

The original concept seems to have been watered down considerably, and most of the engine choices are existing mills.

not impressed much after seeing the pics. I doubt it will be a danger for HONDA and TOYOTA. But definately, HYINDAI SONATA will lose some customers because both the companies r not great imagewise.

Not in Europe. Mondeo has a tremendous following there, where waft-o-matic machines like the Camry are despised.

That is why the Camry is not sold there & the Accord sold there is different to the US & Asia Accord.

Agreed Cali they both are great cars! A very close friend of mine up in Columbus also owns a Mazda 6 2.3! But my point still stands that US cars don't work in European markets whereas European cars do very well in the US for eg. BMW, Merc, Audi, VW, Acura TSX, Mazda 6 etc.

P.S. Nice choice of cars!!

I have the v6 with a few mods...that alas is going up for sale soon because of me being in india for most of the year. The 6 is a world car so not neccesarily european. The tsx yeah is pretty much european. I would have rather had the tsx in india than the us market accord...

Ford is mulling over a US launch for this one. Wonder how it will fare, now that the US market has become more receptive to Euro dynamics. The Contour/Mystique were monumental failures for all the wrong reasons.

How does Mada6 compare to Mazda 626 ? I believe much more punch and better looking for sure. I was disappointed with Mazda 626 performance driving uphill on I-5 from Bay Area to LA. It was struggling to go uphill as LA approaches, Camry felt much better. I am not sure, but it might have been a V6. Even though I drove Mazda6 for a 200 Mile trip north of SFO, I did not have a chance to go uphill like on I-5.

Sorry about going off-topic..
