- Schedule for a June briefing and July Launch

- Jimny and Sierra will be released simultaneously

- Newly developed platform, but adopts a ladder frame structure as before.

- Jimny dimesions:
The body size is Jimny's total length 3395 mm, full width 1475 mm,
height 1715 mm, wheel base 2250 mm and the same as the conventional
model.

- Sierra dimensions:
Sierra has a total length of 3600 mm, a total width of 1600 mm, a total height
of 1715 mm, and a wheelbase of 2250 mm.

- Jimny Vs Sierra :
Sierra : the adoption of wide fender, front and rear large bumper will be
bigger than usual, but since the platform is common, the wheel bases will be
the same.

The body shell adopts a tall jeep-shaped layout that combines straight lines and curved surfaces. The front grill expresses traditional facial expression with the design of the vertical plated panel interlocked with the conventional body panel.

Headlamp A round two-lamp type lamp is embedded in a square clear lens.

There is also a possibility that a hybrid specification will be prepared

- Body color consists of monotone of about 8 colors and 2 tone color of about 4, and it has a common color scheme of Jimny / Jimny Sierra.

- Jimny is 660 cc turbo, transmission is 4 AT and 5 MT

- Sierra is a combination of 6 AT and 5 MT with 1 L turbo.

- Both drive systems are full time 4WD only.

Safety equipment also sets standard equipped vehicles of safe packages which are adopted in the latest Spacia and Xbee

Such a tempting product! It looks exactly how it should look, not dated but not tacky either. The face looks mature but not old. Kudos to the design team!

It has been mentioned this car will be produced in here in India too, then why aren't we seeing any buzz for it? They can just call it the new Gypsy, and it wont even need a marketing campaign to get the hordes throwing money at Suzuki showrooms

I am of strong opinion that this vehicle will revive the Gypsy enthusiasts. The Gypsy has a huge fan base and the fact that it is now available only on order and delivery time ranging from anything between 1- 6 months, makes a 4x4 vehicle available at dealerships a sweet deal.

New images surface in Japanese media,

Japan's Best Car magazine, which claim to be the final design of the upcoming Jimny.

The exterior shot shows a very boxy and old-school-styled three-door off-roader – looking very much like the vehicles spotted in the holding yard earlier this week.

Meanwhile, the dash image (above) indicates the 3D rendering is rather accurate, blending retro squared-off design elements with more contemporary Suzuki components – the latter including the steering wheel, driver's instrument display, climate control dials with LCD inner displays, along with the 7.0-inch touchscreen seen on other models in the company's line-up.

Also, the Jimny needs a bull bar which wraps around the headlight like the old sumo's pronto, will make it look even hotter. This should launch in India, I think Maruti dealers will be hounded with hour long queue's if this come to India, Maruti come on, get this here please!

Ignis sells an average of around 4000 cars a month. Which is a very respectable figure, unless we bring the other Maruti stalwarts into comparison.

Whereas the Jimny might sell in a couple of hundreds. However - I'd still like it if they offer the car on order or something, considering the minimum investments required as it is already manufactured here anyways.

This thing is going to be epic!

They are literally like the cockroaches of the vehicle world; go anywhere and survive anything.

Im sure it's going to be disappointing for a lot of our Team-bhp brothers and sisters to hear this, but I'm quite sure that it won't come in a 5 door model. Its meant to be a pure off-roader and by lengthening the chassis to fit extra seats and doors, you reduce the break-over angle significantly. Just my thoughts.
