Skoda confirms Kodiaq based coupe-SUV for Europe initially and later built in China too !
The coupe-SUV - in effect a slightly larger rival for the Range Rover Evoque and cars like the BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe.

Skoda bosses have given the go-ahead to bringing a coupe version of the new Kodiaq SUV to Europe. Previously, Skoda boss Bernhard Maier confirmed it would be sold in China, but held off on announcing plans to bring the car to Europe. However, the company is now struggling to find the production capacity needed to deliver it.

Inside, the new car will feel largely familiar to owners of current Skodas and other VW Group models, although we expect advances in technology to make it sharper and even more solidly built than any of the brand’s existing cars. A central touchscreen is likely to come as standard, along with various market-leading safety technologies and infotainment options.
Power will come from a range of existing VW Group petrol and diesel engines, while buyers will be offered a selection of manual and DSG automatic gearboxes. A GreenLine version is also set to be an option, promising CO2 emissions of less than 110g/km and 60mpg fuel economy. Plug-in hybrids could also join the range at a later date.

Skoda X6 !! Yipee clap:
I kindoff feel that the skoda face suits this body style more than BMWs kidney grill.
Expected to makes its debut in late 2017, the Kodiaq Coupe rendered.

Looks more like a 5 seater short-wheel-base version of the Kodiaq, rather than a coupe-ish SUV.

Skoda has published a teaser image on its website, is it the Kodiaq Coupe?
That's a smart looking car. Prefer it's looks to that of the Kodiaq, which looks more like a big station wagon to me.
SKODA KODIAQ Coupe (
KODIAQ GT) originally conceived for CHINA is now bound to Europe and other markets,
But manufacturing constraints could still delay the car’s launch outside China .

The Skoda Kodiaq, the Czech brand’s biggest SUV, is set to get a coupe version.
Skoda has released design sketches of the new Skoda Kodiaq GT, which will be the brand’s flagship model in China.
Thanks for sharing, Volkman!
Something tells me that this 5-seater Kodiaq could be an exciting proposition with the eventuality of an early India launch, what with the Indian market possibly about to witness another battle with the Tata Harrier launch around the corner!
Given the fact that the larger, 7-seater Kodiaq sibling is a decent success here in India, wonder how and if the guys in the Skoda boardroom will bring the Chinese-market speced TSI engines to Indian shores or will de-tune the current 150-odd bhp diesel mill doing duty on the 7-seater.
