Suzuki to focus more on C/ SUV's in their future line up without losing focus on its B segment hatchbacks.
A 'Softened; new Suzuki Grand Vitara coming in the next few years but the next-generation model is likely not to retain the current car’s comparatively hardcore off-road abilities.
The next iteration to follow the smaller ‘regular’ Suzuki Vitara’s lead and adopt a more road-focussed demeanour and construction, to better compete with rivals such as the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson in the hugely popular medium SUV market.
Expect the next Gen GV to be a stretched Vitara with more space and power.
The Next Gen JIMNY would carry the torch as a hardcore 4×4 from the company's line-up. Quote:
Despite offering a real unique selling point thanks to its dual-range gearing and proper off-road ability in a market dominated by car-based crossovers that are more refined in urban areas, Suzuki seems to realise that the majority of market demand is for the latter. The smash success of the new Vitara is evidence for that.

Expect the next Grand Vitara to use a version of the company’s new global architecture, pointing to some commonality with the smaller Vitara, giving it a lighter weight, better refinement and superior tarmac handling.
Also likely to have Suzuki's latest trademark of going retro - A retro design in line with the new Vitara and Ignis, lots of customisation options (coloured plastic inserts etc) and lots of handy cabin storage.

next Grand Vitara is likely to be developed with Maruti Suzuki playing a key role in development as seen in the Vitara Brezza - launch in late 2019/2020.

Maruti Suzuki is likely to showcase its upcoming Grand Vitara in 2018. Will be based on the current Global Vitara.

Suzuki's Grand VITARA likely to get the Fiat engine!

Maruti Suzuki could go with an all petrol engine for the Vitara but will have a diesel option for the 7 seater - Grand Vitara.

Maruti Suzuki will launch a 7 seater SUV in 2020, likely to be called the Grand Vitara .
Like the Vitara Brezza it is speculated to be the making of the Indian team, but this time it will a Global launch.
