2018 Honda Jazz EU Spec revealed with 1.5L i-VTEC.

Offered as part of the Dynamic trim level, the engine is good for 130 PS (96 kW), CO2 emissions of 124 grams per kilometer, and a fuel consumption of 5.4 l/100 km (52.3 mpg UK) when matched to Honda’s CVT.

About the Jazz Dynamic, the newly-introduced trim level beautifies the subcompact-sized hatchback with a thin front splitter up front, triple-strake diffuser at the rear, and red accent lines. LED headlights, front fog lamps, sporty-looking side skirts, gloss black 16-inch alloy wheels, and a tailgate spoiler are standard too, as are the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, the orange stitching, and the pinstripe pattern on the upholstery.

Be it the standard 1.3- or the 1.5-liter i-VTEC, the continuously variable transmission has been revised for both engines with two parameters in mind: linearity and refinement under acceleration. Also new for the 2018 model year are the Honda Jazz’s optional Skyride Blue exterior color, the Solid Wing Face grille and headlight signature, and plenty more visual updates all around.

The 2018 Honda Jazz facelift has been revealed ahead of its scheduled unveiling at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show. Earlier, the model was unveiled in Japan as the 2018 Honda Fit. Honda currently has no plans of bringing the facelifted model to India as the Jazz is just two years old here and is thus a fairly fresh product in the Indian context.



Changes to the front fascia include revised headlamp assemblies, a new grille and tweaked bumper with more prominent fog lamp housings. The headlights come with integrated LED DRLs. Honda has introduced a new colour called the Skyride Blue to the existing colour options.



The Jazz facelift gets a new Dynamic variant which has some different styling elements. It gets a thinner front splitter below the lower grille and a diffuser on the rear bumper. Both of these are finished in red. It also gets a rear spoiler, new multi-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels painted in gloss black, LED headlights and side sill skirts. The interiors get leather upholstery and leather wrapping on the steering wheel and gear knob with contrast stitching.



The new model comes with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine in Europe. The Euro 6 engine delivers 128 BHP and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. The 1.5-litre engine is offered with the Dynamic variant while the smaller, 1.3-litre engine is available on the lower variants.



Features like cruise control, heated seats, automatic headlights and city-brake active safety system are now standard across the range. Honda also offers a 7-inch infotainment system, rear view camera, keyless entry, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition on select variants.

Looks better than the existing model. However, India seems to have been sidelined as we may have to wait a little longer for the facelift to arrive here while the rest of the world's major markets would get a chance to own the facelift model in the near future.

What have we done to not get these in India ? Sigh !

I feel the Jazz has tremendous potential unlike Honda's Indian Management which is lethargic. With prices of all cars moving North at a fast pace, we should also be getting the Global products, instead of 'Indianized' versions.

Comes with more safety features with minor changes to the exterior.

In the front, the novelties are the bumper and the redesigned grille. From the EX version you get LED daytime running lights at the bottom of the bumper. In the EXL, the daytime running light is integrated into the headlamps, which now become Full LED

At the rear, the bumper became larger (finally protecting the cap better),with LED tail lamps.

Reduction in taxation is as inevitable as day following night. I suspect that our industry invited it. After AK49's diktat on odd-even the industry rushed into (mis imho) labelling everything into hybrid. So the babu reacted in his own way. The ring readers were the SUV wallahs and MS.

Checked the brazil site (http://www.honda.com.br/automoveis/fit) and yes now the top variant EXL comes with 6 airbags, HSA, VSA, ESS.

Not sure if the bumper in brazil model will make it to India due to 4m length rule. Existing length is already 3955mm and not sure if Honda can squeeze the bumper in 40 to 45mm.
