Whatever these guys do,they definitely make great looking cars.Found these two on the Fiat Forum website yesterday.The cars in contention - The Grande Punto (GP for short) 1.9 MJTD and the Stilo Shumi (1.8 i guess) special version,just like our Palio S10.Both 3 door versions.And the story is that the father drives the STILO and the son drives the GP.Thats one happy Fiat garage!Have a look at the pics -















The first pic is yum and makes a good wallpaper.Look at those stock alloys! They are yum as well.Hmm,have'nt had my lunch as yet.No wonder I'm thinking food here.Anyways,the GP is what might be coming here next year and she is one gorgeous dame.The Stilo is on its way out and is being replaced by the Bravo that had a thread dedicated to it a few days back on this forum.So guys,what would be your pick- the Carribean Orange GP or the Schumi Red Stilo?
I just could'nt resist posting this thread since the two are my absolute favourites(see my signature) and I'm finding it tough to make a choice.

Grande Punto for me. Though it seems a little too orange for me, its shape is to die for.

Heard the GP has 6 gears (European spec)

The Stilo Schumi for me :) Amazing car!

Edit : Well the Schumi Stilo is 2.4L and not 1.8L as I thought it was.So that makes it a terribly fast car.
The GP 1.9 MJTD is no slouch either:
130bhp@ 4000rpm and a torque figure of 28.5kgm @ 2000rpm!
Pugram,it does the job with a 6 speed manual gearbox
0-62 MPH in 9.5 seconds!

Both are fantastic cars. Great looks with brilliant engines. I will take both the cars!

they look good...seem to have good engines...but will if they do come here..will they sell here..as fiats image in india is---0

Today is its world premiere!

It is displayed at the Istanbul Motor Show (2 to 12 November 2006).

Methinks, it completes the incomplete looking Grande Punto by adding a trunk.

4560 mm long, 1730 mm wide, 1500 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2600 mm, with a 500 litre luggage compartment.

Fully electronic, it has infotelematic devices to improve our comfort and quality of time spent onboard.

I think three-box saloons appeal more in India. Don't we hate it when the entire rear hatch gets spray-coated with mud in 30 minutes of Indian monsoon driving?

Not to mention the redesigned front end which looks more suited for a sedan , This one with a 1.9 JTD , 130 bhp..for 10 lacs....way better than a Skoda , atleast you wont have to pray each time you send your car for service .

Tell me at it! Especially black hatches :Frustrati No complaints abt black tho !

i liked both the cars,but i would go for the stilo, especially because it has the priceless schumi badge and also for the red color.
