For the same reason, changes have been made to the sealants and plugs, while the glass of the front windows is now 0.35 millimeters thicker than before. In addition, the upgraded Duster should provide a smoother and more comfortable ride thanks to lower engine and road noises as a result of a more rigid front end reducing the vibrations that make it through the cabin.

I think its overall a very good package, I hope they fixed the lack of space in the second row. I think they will not be launching this version here and we might be getting a new version in 2019 or may be the same version in 2019 :P and thats probably because of the Captur.

2018 Duster review,

The cockpit is new as well, and it’s been visibly upgraded for the New Year. The nav screen is now higher up and closer to the driver’s field of vision, and the instruments are large and clear. Even the buttons and switches have been upgraded, and are subsequently more attractive than before.

Also new is the electrically assisted steering, which replaces the spongy hydraulic power set-up that featured previously. This represents decent progress as well, with the SUV responding more directly and giving extra feel through the wheel. Yet while this makes the Duster better to drive, it’s still not all that much fun. The soft suspension means it’s quite comfortable, but ultimately this is a practical crossover rather than a sporty SUV.

Renault/Dacia prepares another version of the NEW DUSTER for Asian markets. ( Another confusing strategy as C/KAPTUR ?)

Dacia reveals that it will introduce a new SUV at the Moscow Motor Show (Russia) in late August, which is being dubbed the "Super Duster" by local media. It is a crossover in the same segment, but more refined and expensive, that would hit stores in the country in early 2019. This same model should still be taken to China and South Korea, but with a different mechanics.

Renault has updated the tried-and-tested K9K 1.5-litre diesel motor that powers a handful of cars from the Renault-Nissan group. The updated engine has been named as the ‘Blue dCi’. The motor offers a higher performance and lower emissions, which means we can safely expect this engine to power another generation of Renault-Nissan cars. It’s said that the upcoming new Renault Duster for India will get this engine.
It’s noteworthy here that the all-new generation of the compact SUV was released a few months earlier. However, its India launch has been delayed owing to the introduction of the Captur. While every inch of the new Duster’s exterior design is new, it looks like an evolved version of the current car. The interior has also been completely updated.

In all chances, this is the last time that the famed K9K 1.5-litre motor has got a new lease of life. Diesel engines for passenger cars are on their way out globally and it’s only a matter of time before the Renault-Nissan alliance says goodbye to the oil-burners. The second-gen Duster will be the first vehicle to be powered by this engine. Other vehicles that currently use the older iterations of this 1.5-litre diesel motor will also receive the updated engine in due course of time.

The lower emissions are courtesy of selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) that reduces the polluting emissions. The SCR is installed in the exhaust line and reduces the NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions and eliminates all fine particles. A huge majority of diesel cars that are sold in Europe come with this SCR system.

The performance has been enhanced using an improved air-water exchanger (cooling system) and new injectors with a higher injection pressure (2000 bars). This has made the motor not only more powerful but also torquier than before. It’s being said that the increase in the performance numbers will help the Duster to have a stronger straight-line performance.

the Romanian SUV will soon be available for order with the new Renault-Nissan-Daimler-developed 1.3-liter petrol engines. The unit, which benefits from a gasoline particulate filter and powers different cars from all three automakers, is offered with two outputs in the new Dacia Duster.

The first one makes 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, and the other one pushes out 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.

While the car looks nice and 1.6L engine sounds cool, interiors leaves a lot to be desired. They need to plonk in some segment 1st features to be able to compete the Creta.
