Hyundai has unveiled the Creta Sport for the Brazilian market. The new variant receives cosmetic updates and remains mechanically identical to the standard Creta sold in Brazil.



Starting with the front, the Creta Sport gets a gloss-black grille with a matching skid plate. The A and B-pillars are finished in black and so are the ORVM housings. It receives black plastic cladding around the sides and wheel arches that neatly blend into the black rear bumper which also gets an integrated black skid plate. The roof rails, spoiler and the shark fin antenna are also finished in black. Additionally, the Creta Sport gets new 17-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels in a new design.



The Creta Sport receives similar black treatment on the interior. The cabin is finished in black upholstery and the black dashboard gets piano black highlights on air-conditioning vents, the steering wheel and the gear lever. Hyundai also offers a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Creta Sport. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Some of the safety features offered on this variant include front airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and traction control.



In Brazil, the Creta comes with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre flex-fuel engines which produce 156 BHP / 187 Nm and 166 BHP / 201 Nm respectively. In India, the Creta is offered with three engine options - 1.6-litre petrol with 121 BHP and 151 Nm, 1.4-litre diesel with 89 BHP and 220 Nm and a 1.6-litre diesel producing 126 BHP and 260 Nm of torque. Both 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines come paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.4-litre unit is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox only.



The Creta Sport is expected to be launched in Brazil in November 2017. That said, it is not yet clear if Hyundai will introduce the Creta Sport in India.

the same 2.0 engine of 166 hp at 6,200 rpm and torque of 20.5 kgfm at 4,700 rpm, for having a performance above 1.0 turbo of 120 hp and 17.4 kgfm of the other variants of the utility. The 6-speed automatic transmission must be maintained.

The Hyundai Crete N Line 2023 is the sporty-visual version of the SUV and positions itself at the top of the range with the 1.0 turbo engine, above the Platinum 1.0T and below the Creta Ultimate, this one with the aspirated 2.0.

the Hyundai Creta N Line brings a more sporty visual footprint. The front displays modified bumper with fan-shaped front grille and connects to the headlights by a black frieze. In addition, the air inlets of the bumper became larger and angled. The logo has also been darkened, but the black ceiling is optional.

On the side, we have new alloy wheels with somewhat controversial design, seeming to have three beads. The gray side column in the other versions, gains black paint on the Creta N Line, a finish replicated in the rear view mirrors. Behind, the sporty version of the SUV has new bumper with fake air extractor, double exhaust outlet and darkened flashlights.

In the cab, the typical Hyundai N steering wheel replaces the part used in other Creta. It has very sporty look. Leather-clad seats win the N logo embroidered next to red seams, also in the shift handle, which brings new design Every cabin follows the theme of black colors and the sunroof is standard item.

The sports version features items such as autonomous emergency braking, darkened full-LED headlights, track maintenance system, front and side safety camera, one-zone digital air conditioning and other technology items present, until then, only in Creta top of the line with aspirated 2.0 engine.

In the mechanical part, Hyundai messed with the suspension and chassis, giving a firmer and more sporty hit to the model – consistent with its spicy look. The engine, however, has not been modified. Also because this is the footprint of the N Line models: bring differentiated visuals and prepared suspension, but no more performance. The direction is also firmer.

The 1.0 TGD-i three-cylinder turbo delivers 120 hp and 17.5 kgfm of torque is exactly the same as all versions of Creta except the Ultimate. It is the best balanced set of the compact SUV, which drinks much less than the 2.0 and walks virtually the same. The six-speed automatic transmission has also not been modified.

I don't think this will cut it with masses. Having the same engine in Venue-N and Creta-N is an absolute "no-no" with the asking price tag. It would be "all show with no go"... I think it would be better to get a tweaked 1.4 TurboGDI/DCT, tighter handling and the all the other cosmetic bits will be more accepted.

As long as they retain that ugly 'bits and pieces' head and tail lamps, it won't enter into my good books.
