Going by the name, Initially I assumed that it would be an SUV based on some old small Tank.

In reality, this looks like a DC-ed Scorpio/Thar.

Thanks for sharing the information, wilful. The vehicle indeed looks good and catches attention.

Price of $178000 is high even by US standards. And what you get for that (bullet proof, ballatic protection, night vision etc.) is not useful to common consumer of luxury cars. So the customer base for this will be restricted to mostly the gangsters, mafia or some heads of state.

Military may find these features useful but they have their own stringent standards, which are carefully laid down. And they too look at price and budget.

2020 Rezvani Tank Is The World’s Most Powerful SUV.

Set to premiere at the Monterey Car Week on August 16, it’s available in three different grades.
The most affordable option comes in at $155,000 and features a 285 HP 3.6-liter V6, but can also be ordered with a 500 HP 6.4-liter V8, or a 285 HP 3.0-liter diesel.

The other two pack the Dodge Demon-sourced 6.2-liter supercharged V8, tuned to deliver 1,000 hp and 870 lb-ft (1,180 Nm) of torque – with pricing starting at $295,000 for the Tank Military Edition and $349,000 for the Tank X.

Compared to the outgoing iteration, the 2020 Tank sports a slightly updated exterior design. The cockpit has remained occupant-friendly and is highly customizable, with different leather finishes, stitching, gauge cluster colors and so on. Taking center stage in the middle of the dashboard is an infotainment system with a 7.9-inch display that provides access to features like Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Google Maps, Pandora, Stitcher and other apps, said to have been optimized for safe usage on the go.
