The F40 is wallpaper material and the stuff of dreams.

However, the 458 is the first Ferrari I drove. Once on public roads in Maranello and once at Monza.

There is simply no better experience (the new AMG V8s are the only comparable experience).

Its the F12 for me too. For some reason I prefer the looks of F12 than the new superfast. Also my 1st preference for a Ferrari is V12. I know most new V8 ferraris are mega cars, but if I can get 1 shot, it will be a V12 for me.

I recently got to hear a F12 pass by and the exhaust note at mid RPMs was so smooth, it felt it was coming out after a layer of butter applied. Totally reinforced my love for the F12.

The F430 was in mind but there are so many great Ferraris that it is tough to choose just 10. I just love the F430 and it will always remain special for me because it is the first and only supercar I've driven so far.

Honestly, I never thought there were so many people who would chose the F430 over other Ferraris.

My all time favorite Ferrari is the 275 GTB. Front engined V12 Grand Tourer with looks to die. For me its Pininfarina's best creation. The streamline aluminium body, that rear section, the beautifully integrated shark fins and the sonorous rasp from the exhaust. No words. Incredible automotive art which can evoke emotions. Skip Barber of Skip Barber racing school owns one and there was a nice short film about the car by Petrolicious YouTube channel.

Is it possible to choose the race cars? I know it probably opens up the hornets nest but I was thinking sports car for example. Like some of their Targa Florio and Le Mans beasts.

I'll concede though, it's hard to beat the appeal of the F40. That thing was mega. I know it was before my time but I can't help but smile thinking of the video of Nigel Mansell, flat cap, moustache and chintzy gold watch and all thrashing the thing around Fiorano on a wet day IIRC

It is a very difficult decision! I am not a Ferrari person but yes I do have my favorites and it is really tough to choose. My top 3 contenders are the F40, 458 Italia and the F12 Berlinetta. I think i would have the F12. Seen a few of them in London in stock and not so stock form. Absolutely love the way it looks and obviously not to forget the silky, sweet sounding V12!

Personally, I like the easygoing Ferraris like the California. It's the only one I can imagine myself using everyday while still retaining the Ferrari charm.

For me it is the Testarossa, it was probably my first introduction to the beasts in red. It was in the 80s, I was 10 and I used to go all the way to British Council to read the latest Auto mags. It was I guess, in one of those visits that I saw this car.

The Lamborghini Countach was another car from the same era that I used to drool on.

My most favourite postercar from ferrari is F40 for reasons already mentioned by members on this thread!

But, if i am allowed to choose a ferrari to be used for my personal use, it will be 575 Maranello without a doubt. It looks a little understated for a ferrari but i totally love it for clean, beautiful, tight lines without any of the excessive cuts and creases which make this car timeless in terms of looks for me.

It might not have the outright performance to beat a lap time, but would let you cruise all day covering countries and landscapes in good speed.

If I had to vote purely on the basis of being in awe of the car then it would have to be the 250 GTO. What a car! Yes, the modern cars are amazing in how they're built and how they handle but the 250 is .... its hard to describe it in words..... but this is the one I would pick if I had to drive one on a nice twisty mountain road like the stelvio pass.

From the modern masterpieces, I would pick the Enzo, F430 and the F12.

Agreed, for me too, 250 GTO is THE Ferrari. Enzo and 288 GTO would take the 2nd and 3rd positions for me.
